Hei Lam Ng, a room is a book

MFA Thesis Exhibition, at the MFA Gallery VA 102, November 3rd to 9th, 2024

Please join the Textiles and Materiality Cluster in attending Hei Lam Ng’s MFA thesis exhibition: a room is a book, happening from November 3rd to 9th at the MFA gallery (VA102.) 

“This exhibition explores the relationships between a book, a reader, and a space. It is a large reading room for one to spend time with books and texts in the various forms I defined them as.”

Feel free to come by to read and share your thoughts on “books”–what is a book and what makes it a book. The works in the exhibition require time and space to engage, if you would like to get the full experience of them, it is recommended that you visit outside of the vernissage time. 

Gallery hours are the following:

Nov 3-6, Nov 8-9:12pm to 7pm Nov 7 (Thu): 3pm to 9pm, vernissage begins at 6pm.

There will be a prize draw at the vernissage. Present the invitation ticket (shown in the picture above) at the event to participate. Tickets are available at the exhibition or at the Print Media Tech office (EV9.416) during office hours (9-5 M-F.) Edition of 100. Despite the name “ticket,” it is an absolutely free event ☺️
