Geneviève Moisan receives FOYER Fellowship to develop textile antennas

Congratulations to T&M graduate student cluster member, Geneviève Moisan, for receiving the new FOYER Fellowship, awarded through Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts. The award-winning project, entitled, Up Patching!, is a collaboration with Muhammad Mustafa Tahseen, a PhD candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program. Together, Gen and Tahseen will research materials and techniques that explore the implications of using textile techniques for the purpose of communication. Using the Tajima laying and embroidery machine, they will experiment with the creation of textile antenna prototypes using conductive thread.
