UNMAKE is an intro to electronics offered by the Textiles and Materiality Cluster for artists interested in developing and extending their skills. This two day workshop will explore electronics though hands on experience and encourage the reduction of e-waste by safely reclaiming cost effective electronic components for your personal projects. Our time together will be devoted to directed workshops where we will explore reclamation and component function while refining skills in soldering, circuit building and troubleshooting. Applications for sound, soft circuits for textiles and an introduction to micro-controllers will be covered in successive workshop sessions leading to applications for your own creative projects.
A materials fee of $60 includes an extensive kit of components that you can use in the workshop and keep for your future projects. Payable by cash or check in the Milieux office.
