A show that celebrates the power of resistance through maximalist beliefs built by the hands of women with distinct and refined attention to their craft. Area Codes is a confrontational environment that amplifies the visibility of important concepts produced by female-identified artists. Through materialized works, by those that have been other-d through partisanship, a space is created that is radical; and highlights a Canadian experience.

The aim of this show is to speak to the goal of Women In Cities International and their Right to Campus Campaign; to raise awareness on issues surrounding the right to public space, and navigating it as women and gender non-conforming people. It will be held in commemoration of Anti-Street Harassment Week, International Women’s Day, and the last few days of the sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
