The 5th Art and Science International Exhibition will include projects by Studio subTela in the National Art Museum in Beijing, China. Barbara Layne will install works and participate in the 2 day symposium organized by Tsinghua University and the Museum. The event aims to reveal the inner relationship between art and science through exhibitions and academic discussions of frontier explorations, domestic and international, in art and science. It is also founded in the hope of expanding and deepening artistic and scientific studies, enhancing the level of innovation, as well as facilitating harmonious development in both fields. The Exhibition runs from November 2 – 30 with the symposium on November 2-3.
The subTela projects to be shown include the Table Runner, the Boots and the Magic Wand and The Sampler, the Rank Badge Jacket and Wand #2.
